Yep...another tire thread. I'm prep'd to pull the trigger on new tires. Got the Bilstein level kit for my 2018 CC 2500 with the 6.4l. I have a new track bar and andnew 20 inch wheels. im ready to start installing.

My choice is between the 35*12.50 Cooper ST Maxx in load F range or the Bottom Ridge Grapplers in the same configuration. I do zero off roading other than dirt roads to the deer camp. My primary use is towing our 8k bumper pull camper. I run about 10k miles a year 90% highway.

Any thoughts or experiences with either?

I've been running Ridge Grapplers on my truck for a year now. I occasionally pull a 7200 lbs tt on paved and dirt roads. They've held up and performed well so far.

Running 295/65/20 Toyo AT2 on my 16 2500 leveled. Awesome tires. I'll be replacing with the same.

Nitto has my vote. Had terra grapplers, ridge grapplers and trail grapplers on my last 2500 all did well no matter what other than the trail grapplers got a little slick in the rain if the boost came in down low to quick.

I have Nittos - never has an issue with rain, snow, ice or pulling my 26' travel trailer. Not sure about off road.

When I complain about the Firestones at work to my boss, he tells me to look into the Coopers. He had run them for years. Up in AK and here in WY. He goes hunting all over and absolutely recommends them. They will be on my look at list when I finally get to get new tires. The only thing here is that I have to have the mountain/snowflake certified. I havent done any research into that aspect yet. CO allows you to use the tires withe the certification in place of chains.

I have the ST Maxx in 295/70/18 and really like them. I have about 25K miles on them and they are at about 50% or a little less on tread. I rotate every oil change. I have had them in crazy amounts of rain and wet road along with very heavy Ice and Snow and they preformed flawlessly. For the price I don't think you can get a better tire with higher load rating and better capability and road manners than the Cooper ST Maxx.

I'm running the Ridge Grapplers (35's) now and the jury is still out for me. Nice tire but they are wearing pretty fast. They are wearing evenly and look good, just going fast. If you almost all highway I'm not sure that's the tire I would go with? I'm probably going to try a cooper or something different next time around.

More than happy with my Cooper AT3 4S
I'm also running those on my 1500, jury is still out since I've only put 2K miles on mine. Since the OP has a 2500 he would be better served by the AT3 XLT, ST MAXX or STT PRO. All these have had good to great owner reviews.

Missed that he had a 2500. I can tell you so far, that our tires are great in rain, heavy wet snow and packed ice and hard pack snow covered with sleet/freezing rain. Longevity is still a question, but so far so good. Have had mine for 6000 miles.

I appreciate all of the replies and info. I think I'm gonna give the Cooper ST Maxx a shot in the 35*12.50r20 variety and load range F (12ply). The reviews seem to be down the middle so I'm gonna go with a made in the US tire that's also a little easier on the wallet.

Did you know that Nitto tires are made by Toyo?
I'm running Nitto Terra Grappler G2's 35-12.5/20's on my 2500 4x4

Blue Mule
And I've found the toyos are usually cheaper than the nitto so avoiding toyo on price seems odd to me.
