ok guys i want to buy a cordless impact mostly for wheel changes so i think a 1/2 in one would be best. I originally wanted a snap on one because ive used them in a friends shop and they work great but the 500 for it is a little too much so i want yalls opinion on which ones i should look at that are a little cheaper price

Snap-On doesn't make it anyway... ;)

A guy on the G8 forum had a 2 page thread on this and he ended up with this one.

He uses it at the track to remove and install wheels and tires quickly. He says it has MORE than enough power to remove them.

My brother has a 20v dewalt thats 1/4" hex drive
He's had it for two years and uses it very often changing his wheels for autocross and back to his street tires when he leaves, the only thing he had to get a 1/4" hex to 1/2" adapter (maybe 3/8" I forget)

that one is a real nice price but im just worried because most of the reviews say they work on cars but didnt see much about working on lug nuts or on bigger sized trucks

thats a pretty good price for what it comes with do you have this one yourself?

I just think it looks nice. I have the craftsman stuff that uses the C3 battery. I went this route because they work with so many things including my trimmer.

Craftsman C3 Cordless 1/2'' Wrench Kit: Speedy Fastening with Sears

I have that exact model. It works great and takes the lugs off of my last Ram, my Tahoe and our Jeep Wrangler. I have a snap-on air impact and compressor, but I haven't used the air impact since I bought this Craftsman set up.

I have that entire tool kit (circular saw, drill, saw and florescent light). I bought an extra charger and a few extra batteries, so I'm always charged and ready to go. One of the best tool sets I've ever bought.

I have the Craftsman C3 one as well because my drill and right angle drill both use the same batteries. If you go that route just be sure to buy 2 batteries. It's worth it. It has taken off everything I've ever tried.

I believe it is available both ways (with or without charger).

Craftsman C3 19.2 volt here as well. In addition to the impact I have a whole bunch of handy tools that run off of the same batteries.

I bought the impact about 2 years ago as an add on to my set, so I already had two chargers.

Well worth the money IMHO.

Read this thread... This guy uses it mainly for his lug nuts and ours are torqued to 125ftlbs on the G8.

If they aren't Li-ion I wouldn't buy it. I LOVE Li-ion tools. SO much more TQ, but when they go dead, they're DEAD! The nice thing is they don't build the memory like Ni-Cad does. Chris

The standard batteries have worked well and lasted. If buying new now though I would go with the better batteries just to have more power.

Lithium ion battery in C3 line is 80 bucks I think I bought one and I have the C3 charging station so I can charge 4 batteries at once.
