Correct Coolant for 2014 Ram 1500 SLT Hemi. 5.7

Hi everyone, I am trying to know the correct Coolant for my truck, and reading online is just confusing to find the exact recommended coolant for it. I am replacing the water pump this weekend so I need to know asap if possible. Thank you!

Your '14 should have the Mopar OAT coolant that when new is purple, it's probably an pinkish/orange color by now when cold, but it turns back to purplish when hot.
Buy yourself a couple of gallons of Mopar Pre-Mid OAT

I have a '14 1500 with the 5.7 as well. The coolant specified for mine by the dealer is "OAT - 10 Year - Purple", part#68163848AB. There is also a 50/50 pre-mixed version, but (at least here) it's the same price per gallon, so you're just overpaying for disistilled water with it.

Get the OAT concentrated, the pre-mix has 1/2 distilled water in it.

Fyi all, premix has deionized water not distilled. Big difference in price. (Deion is like $17/gal)

Deionized is what’s best for the engine, but even the manual calls for distilled sooo…
