Couple new mods!

After months of being dormant I finally got off my ass and installed some things. New headlights which I’m really happy with. Have the LEDs wired to run as DRLs and then added a 42” curved lightbar to the bumper. Then replaced my 5.0 with a Pioneer AVH-2300NEX. Pretty happy with it but can’t get CarPlay to work with the uRam in the console as others have been able to, so that’s disappointing. You can also see where I mounted the switch for the lights in the radio pic. All opinions welcome!

love the headlights... the bar is awesome .. is that 2300 or 2330 head unit... looks 7inches not 6.2

It’s the 2300. The 2330 basically just adds HD Radio. I listen to Sirius so that didn’t matter much to me.

My only aggravation is not being able to get CarPlay to work through the uRam. Was really hoping it would. I’ve seen others say theirs does. Mine will play flash drive all day long, but go to hook up phone and it keeps intermittently buzzing and won’t ever connect.

Those are the lights I have been looking at! It looks good man! I ran a pioneer in my '12 and loved it.

Update: So I got CarPlay working. I was using an Amazon cable. Tried an Apple cable, works like a charm. Really happy with the radio. Got my Sirius on it. On to speakers and maybe a sub.

I am but a lowly Express, so I don’t know that I really have any uconnect stuff. I had to add the pioneer mic to have the voice features on the radio. But the steering wheel voice things still work thanks to the maestro stuff.
