My dealership informed me that they are replacing the faulty cp4 pump with an updated cp4. I'm concerned. Shouldn't I be? 2020 ram 2500

There's a huge recall campaign to replace the CP4 based design in the '19-'20 Cummins trucks with what's believed to be a modified CP3 based design.
Your most likely getting the CP3 version.

Read the threads in the HD section, there's plenty of information. Mine was replaced under the recall two weeks ago with a modified CP3 version labeled ISP19S3 I believe it was. Nothing to be concerned about, talk to your dealer and they'll check your status.

Dealer said they are only getting 1 pump a week and there is 25 trucks ahead of me. They want me to drop it off and leave with them until fixed. I said they are crazy.
