I replaced the crankcase tube to intake inlet with a breather filter. Looking for some sort of plug to cap off the opening in the intake tube. I just have something fabbed up for now and while it will work fine. I'd prefer something more suitable. Any ideas?

I do not think this is a good idea as you will have nothing pulling blow by out of your engine. What are you trying to accomplish with the breather?

Its pretty common. This is a done when installing all the vararam ram intakes and no one seems to have a problem with it.

It. Will vac it self out of the crank case, years ago all engines crank case were vented out that way & it's much better than sucking that oil smoke into the combination chamber its just not legal with the pollution laws now.

On the vararam the breather goes near the oil fill where it brings in fresh air. That is ok. I got the impression by how the OP worded it that he put a breather on the intake suction side to the crankcase where we would normally put a catch can. That is the side that pulls the blow-by out of the crank case. Which in my opinion needs to be evacuated. Like I said just my opinion though and how I read the OP post.

With Catch cans being pretty cheap I think it would be better to just go that route.

I was referring to the tube by the oil fill cap going to the intake tube.

Your local Auto Parts store should carry vaccumn plugs that should fit the nipple. The line he's talking about is a make-up air line. That's why it's hooked to the stock airbox after the filter. It allows clean filtered air back into the crankcase under high vaccumn situations, when the PCV system is pulling high vaccumn, like going downhill and you take your foot off the long skinny pedal.
