Has anyone done a custom rear window, one that slides down completely. ...like the toyotas?

I'm very interested to know this as well. I've been considering trying this on mine. Really like the factory one that the Titan has, and the way its setup. I would use the rear sliding window far more if it was powered at least, even if it didn't slide down.

i can guarantee no one has done that. so much work and expense for such little payoff.

I think the level of payoff would be more an opinion of the person driving the truck. Love the ones where the entire rear window rolls down, so tight. I'd settle for just the center section though. So tempted right now to find a junked Titan, get that entire assembly, and figure out how to modify the Ram to fit it in, and look factory.

Gotta wonder why Ram doesn't do that. Lots of folks would pay for that option.

Problem: The cab vents run through both sides of the rear wall which will prevent the window from dropping into the rear wall. Now, you can remove these vents but you will hate every moment of driving the vehicle with the blower on and especially when you close any of the doors.
