looked into making a true 12” lift kit for our rams, but the big company that makes knuckles wants $35-40k to make sand castings. I’m not spending that, and the tiny front diff and axle tubes would never hold up to hard off road abuse with 38s.

So I pulled my 1500 axles, and am installing 2007 super duty axles. Made a truss, and welded it on the front Dana 60, cleaning up the rear Sterling to Fab up and weld on a truss now.

Putting these under a 1500?
What are you doing for wheel speed sensors?
I have a set of old-school D-60’s that is like to put under my 1500, I just have to figure out a work around for the wheel sensors.

I absolutely love it!

I've been researching all of these modifications and I don't have the welding skills :(

Will be installed in my 2010 1500.
2007 super duty 60 uses wheel speed sensors so the axle I have will work.

What kind of set up you gonna run up front?

It looks like there's a coilover lower mount hiding on either side but my phone zoom sucks.

4/5 link with track bar? Frame side brackets? What about steering and steering box? Same rear suspension setup but long armed?

I love SAS projects so I'm all for this.

Funny. I have a cclb 2500 that I wheel a lot! I’ve thought about and actually got quotes to cut frame from 8’ down to 5’7. So basically the size of a 1500 but obviously I already have solid axles. SAS makes all the difference if really wheeling. Curious why so high on the lift you want? I run a 3” Thuren lift and couldn’t image going higher and being able to function off-road. No mud or water here though.

Gonna run four liked front and rear, with track bars. Gonna either run a ram 2500 of super duty steering box.
Just gonna run shocks and coil springs for now.

Need a tall lift to clear 38” tires.
