I have a 2020 Limited with black interior. I just noticed my dash has started to bubble. I have an aftermarket warranty that I purchased from the dealership but I’m told it doesn’t cover “cosmetic issues”. My truck has about 63,000 miles. The vehicle is garaged daily, and rarely sits in the sun for extended periods. I started researching the Internet and discovered this issue has being reported by a number of people. I use no solvent on the dash, just damp rag. Can you please provide assistance.

I also filled a claim and took my truck to the dealer.. Without ever taking a pic, they went online and told me that my cost would be $765.
When I again contacted customer care, I was informed that the estimate was based the picture. When I informed customer care that the dealer never submitted a picture….. click… They hung up..

Demand for Resolution: Dashboard Bubbling Defect in 2020 RAM Limited Trucks
I purchased two 2020 RAM Limited trucks, and both have developed dashboard bubbling—a known and widespread issue affecting 2019-2020 models. Despite two dealership visits, I’ve been told to pay for repairs out of pocket, which is unacceptable. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, and RAM should take responsibility instead of ignoring loyal customers.
Numerous owners report the same problem, yet Chrysler has failed to issue a recall. If RAM values its reputation and customer loyalty, it must acknowledge this defect and cover the repairs—not push the cost onto buyers who trusted your brand.
The difference in treatment between the sales process (full of promises) and post-purchase service (dismissive and unhelpful) is deeply disappointing. I expect a prompt resolution and a commitment to addressing this known flaw. Goodwill isn’t earned by ignoring problems—it’s earned by standing behind your product.
I demand that RAM rectify this issue immediately at no cost to me. Waiting for your urgent response.

I have the same issue happening with my 2019 1500 Longhorn Laramie. The Dash leather is bubbling up, looks identical to the pictures already posted

I purchased a used 2021 Dodge RAM Limited and have the same problem with the dash bubbling and piece over the steering wheel has come unglued. Has anyone had any luck from Dodge? I have an appointment with the dealer next week and they offered to take a look and help me with a claim, but I am not too optimistic in looking at the multiple threads on this issue.

I went through the dash bubble deal almost 2 years ago with my 2019 limited bought new. Even with extended warranty dealer said no factory or warranty coverage for cosmetic/interior. Dealer said if I wanted to shell out $2000 they would take care of it! HA! I notified RAM 'customer care' and conveyed the problem. At first I was told they needed to see pictures as RAM hasn't experienced any complaints on the dash boards. HA! After several inquiries back to them, it was like they just hung up on me. My truck now has a whole 16000 miles on it and still has some dash bubbles I try to keep smoothed out. I also feel as though it's RAM's design flaw or whoever they contracted to do the dashboards, and THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THE FLAW! (mike drop)

I started having a bubble on my dash with my 2020 Longhorn Laramie within a year of purchase. I put a cover over it to try and help but it has just gotten worse over the years. Some of the wood paneling has come off also. It’s clearly a defect with the adhesive. No one will help and I was quoted $4700 for dash replacement by dealership within 6 months of purchasing it. Really really disappointed in Ram and their service. We also have a 2021 2500. Haven’t had problems with service on it but even with a top of the line extended warranty purchased nothing will be done for interior of the Laramie. Can’t wait to pay it off and get rid of it!!!! Will look into buying GMC next.

ugh....i have the same year Limited, black interior...fortunately my dash is still OK.

But, the truck is mostly parked in the garage and not in the hot son. Maybe that's why i've been lucky. I think i'll invest in one for those window screens you put inside the car

My 2019 Limited had the exact same issue. I had about 70K miles at the time. Dealer worked with the local Ram rep and got it paid for under warranty, even though I had not purchased an extended warranty package. It's definitely a known issue.

Ram doesn't care. My 2021 2500 Power Wagon w/42k miles just started the delamination on the passenger's side. Went to the local RAM dealer, but they said it wasn't covered under warranty because it is considered an "accessory". Spoke w/RAM and was directed to have the dealer submit for "Goodwill Assistance". Went back to the dealer and they didn't have a clue as to what this was and would contact RAM. Now, it's crickets! Spend $80k on a vehicle only to have it fall to pieces from faulty equipment.

yep can add my 2020 limited to the list. dash is completely bubbled. totally unacceptable that ram will not cover this knowing that its a big problem. damn shame I have bought two brand new 1500's (2014&2020) will have to think about the next truck I buy. i paid big dollars for extended bumper to bumper on both. hopefully ram will do the right thing and issue a recall. this is not a problem caused by abuse or neglect. the fact that they know of this issue and are douing nothing about it is a slap in the face to the people that like ram.

Me too! 2021 Longhorn Limited. 49,000 miles. $80,000 truck. Talked to service and they put in a claim. Came back in 5 minutes saying Ram would cover it but it would cost me $800. Emailed Ram Cares and was told to go to the dealer for compensation or refund. Nothing but running in circles. I've been a life long customer of Chrysler products since 1971 and have never run into such poor customer service as this. Make me ashamed to say that I built there vehicles for 13 years. A person shouldn't have to dish out such money so soon on a none wear item. Just down right poor quality. Step up and do the right thing for your customers. Unless this is fixed I will not be buying any more of your products.

Ugh, just got back from a weeks vacation when the weather changed to the low 50's and noticed it on my dash as well. A 2021 1500 limited. only 26k miles on it. I purchased bumper to bumper extended warranty but it sounds like from everyone else that they won't cover this. Has anyone gotten this resolved by Ram? I see prices from other rather from 4 grand to $800. And I was looking to upgrade to a 2500 next year.. No way in hell I will ever buy another Ram tho

Add me to the list, bought this used 2022 Ram 1500 Limited one year ago and spent $3500 for the extended warranty which apparently doesn't cover this. Dealership said go pound sand and that it'd be $2600 if I wanted to get it fixed. I've initiated a request for the "Repair Cost Assistance" program through the dealership (thanks for this idea from this forum). Guess I'll be buying the tacky dashboard cover in the interim and telling every person that enters the truck to STAY AWAY FROM DODGE RAMS.
