Dealer can't order 4-corner air suspension???

I'm in Memphis and though the local dealer has a 2013 Laramie with the air suspension on the lot that he let me drive, he told me that at the present time, he could not order a truck with one. Anybody else heard that?

Makes me wonder what's going on with all the problems they have had with the 5.7/8-speeds not being available too.

News to me! I ordered my Sport with both the A8 and the air suspension on 02/08/13 with no issues.

My understanding is it's just an availability issue. They haven't cranked out enough to distribute them widely yet, and there were quite a few pre-orders to fill as well. It's not a "problem" as such, they just have to get ahead of demand.

OK, just got confirmation that the air suspension is NOT available. They just told us that they'll either have to delay the manufacturing of my truck or I can go with coil springs. It's NOT a deal breaker for me. I'm checking to see what "delayed" means. 1 month, 1 week? Need to know.

Yes, I believe this is what what my dealer meant too. Please keep us in the loop about how long this delay will take.

The 4-corner air suspension is one of the main features I am interested in with the 2013 Ram 1500 Sport CC I am considering ordering.

I ordered it on my Laramie 4x4 Quad Cab. My truck is built but not yet shipped.
It was randomly picked off the line for a 100% inspection. This is causing a delay in shipping but hopefully I get a truck without any problems

I wonder if they're having an issue with the air... I may just get the coils depending on the time frame to get the air.

You know why right? They're having a HUGE personnel problem in the plant and quality has suffered. I'm sure we're screwed! lol

Have you had any issues at all with the air ride? I test drove one and it was smoooooth. I ordered an Sport CC with the air ride, but have to wait till may to get it.

Ordering 4corner air suspension

To my understanding the dealer has to enter/order it as a "sold" order for it to be an option through the dealer's system. If they try to order it or build the truck you want without clicking on "sold order" it does not allow them to choose the 8 speed or the air suspension. Ordered our 2013 Ram 1500 Hemi Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 with 6'4" bed, 8 speed, 4 point air suspension in April. We have been told several times there are not any delays. Even called Ram. We will see. Can't wait to get it though!
