So brought my 2019 ram in for a host of issues to the dealer. One of which was my brake pedal has an extreme amount of play from side to side. Feels loose Everytime I press it. Dealer looked at it agreed it had a lot of play, and ordered a new pedal. So I ask for a loaner vehicle because I felt it was a safety issue. They advise me they were out of loaners, and told me they could get me a rental but Chrysler wouldn't pay for it cause it wasn't a safety issue. Just trying to wrap my head around how a loose brake pedal ISNT a safety concern. [emoji848] SMH.. so just thought I'd ask everyone here what they thought about it and what you would do in the same situation....

Any problem with a brake system is a safety issue, IMHO.

Yeah safety!
Don't need to go if the thing can't stop.

Unfortunately the factory warranty doesn’t cover a loaner vehicle, period, regardless of whether it’s a safety concern or not. Fun fact. If the dealer offers them, that is out of courtesy, not any form of requirement. We have a large fleet of them and rarely run out, but sometimes it happens, and we have to explain that they are not a right, but a bonus, and we’ll do the best we can to accommodate.

Not the same as this issue but when I had my truck planned to go in for warranty work (broken manifold bolts) I was told I couldn't get a loaner by the dealer even though they would be keeping my trouble for a few days. I got in touch with ram cares from this sight and they contacted the dealer and covered up to like $45.00 a day for a rental car. I paid the upgrade fee so I could get a brand new Ram 2500 as my loaner. Lol
