Help! I'm so mad. Just bought a new used truck. Drove great and looked great. Has only 60,000 miles on it. 5.7 hemi 2500. Was gonna use it to haul my horses. Now I'm completely scared of it...

On the drive home on 95 at 70mph it felt like I blew out a tire and ****** me to the right shaking the whole truck. Pulled over, it stopped. Brought up to 70 again and same issue.

I'm freaked out. It's at dealer now and they say it's due to the truck not having original wheels.

Please help advise me. My parents want the truck taken back. I'm in love but now too scared itll kill me or the horses.

Thanks!

Check the front hubs. Go through the trucks front end and check for worn parts. Lots of these trucks pull to the right hard. But not so much a jerk and or shaking. Steering stabilizer possibly? There is an aftermarket setup people use but I’m not too familiar in what’s diff from a 2010 and a 2014 front end wise.

I see they said the wheels lol. If those are the wheels in the pic. They’re still factory wheels. Shouldn’t be issues. Unless the factory tires are messed up? Out of round?

It's not the wheels, that's a BS excuse don't fall for that. Those are factory wheels any way. They need to check the front end over. Loose or worn track bar, ball joints, hub bearings, tie rods.

Steering stabilizer would be a great place to start. Lots of people have gone with a dual stabilizer with great success

Any idea why the wheels that came with the truck were swapped out with the new 2013+ style? There may be some clues buried there.

All the suggestions for looking over the front end are good. The place to start, though, imo, is wheel balance. If you can, ask for whoever is the best in the shop running the wheel balancer.

That. Trac bar bushing and mounts , check and rebalance tires, hub bushings then tierod ends.
While a new steering stabilizers can stop it they only mask the problem.

Check the torque on all the steering components, drag link, trackbar and tie rod, get somebody behind the wheel, and have them move the steering full lock left to right and viceversa, feel the steering components by hand, nothing should bind, nothing should clunk, check your BJ's, there are videos all over youtube that can help you troublehoot DW, or take the thing to a Jeep or Truck shop and have them troubleshoot, it should't be very difficult to find the culprit, front axels are so simple is not even funny, they're not like this BS IFS, god dam it i wish RAM wil make a 1500 with a live front axel :)

If it were me on a truck that age, I’d just upgrade the track bar to a Thuren unit anyways.
