For those of you that have had the DeeZee tailgate assist on their trucks for 2+ years, how does it still work? Is the nutsert still tight in the tail gate? Does the piston last in cold weather?

Mine works fine after 1 yr 8 months. For $30, I'm happy that it lasted over a year haha.

No issues at all. I had it on my 2010 CC and now on my 2015 CC. And it has gone through some seriously cold weather. ;)

1.5 years roughly in NJ winters and still going strong! I don't open my tailgate an insane amount tho.

Hrdly open my tailgate either but still working finer, almost 2 years. Buddy opens his Chevy Tailgate a ton, every day, and he has had zero issues on his, reckon it's 3 yrs old or so.

Mine's been going strong for a year, first mod on the truck. The wife thought it was too heavy, it works great

Had mine break. Replacement parts sent and it has held up great since. 1.5 years with it. My dog getting overly excited to get out helped break it.

Mine worked great and was my favorite mod for a while. But now only dampens about the last 1/3 of the tailgate travel.

3 years and i'd say not bad. The ball end in the gate came loose so i had to tighten it.
Other than the clips starting to rust from the Ontario Salt and Road Spray crap they put on our roads, held up well.
I use the gate a lot too...
