DEF Injection Pump...

I just had to replace the DEF injection pump on my 2019 2500 Heavy Duty! The miles are 49444 when it went to the dealer for the repair. $725.00 is their quote to repair the problem. The truck has never given an issue for anything...ever! I always use Premium DEF too. They said that it is not covered for emissions warranty. Am I mistaken? Is this part an emissions part or not!?!?

Edit, I was looking at the miles and missed the year. You are beyond the 5 year mark so not covered.

I have a 2020 6.7, how many years is the emissions warranty anyway? I wasn't aware that anything was covered past 5 years, unfortunately.

5 years, 50k miles. @Yankee1027 it looks like you're out of warranty based on years unfortunately. Likely has nothing to do with whether or not it's part of the emissions system.

Well sad that it went out on you, but you did learn that the high dollar Premium DEF you have been buying has done nothing extra for the extra money it cost, just go buy DEF like at places like Wallyworld, Kroger, Fleet Farm, Tractor Supply or at the the truck stop pump as DEF is DEF, just don't buy DEF jugs that are or have been sitting at the fuel island in the hot sun or if its over a year old since it was manufactured, btw my 2022 except for the first tank from the dealership has used noting but Wally DEF without any problems just like many hundreds of other Ram owners use..
