Bought a tuner from diablo, of course theyre closed at the moment so they cant help me but my truck is currently useless as it will not start due to the tuner.
Randomly decided mid way through tuning and what not that the tuner doesnt work on my truck, failed the tune, and now my truck is telling me to press clutch and push button to start.. I dont have a clutch and the truck wont start from pushing the brakes, i plug the tuner back in and it says its in recovery mode and asks to reset to factory backup, i click yes, it takes about 5 minutes gets to 100% and says it failed.
i have a 2014 Ram 1500 sport with the 8spd

I unplugged my battery, reconnected and am trying again as i write this, but does anyone have anything they can contribute to help??? kinda desperate

FIXED. thank god. only took me 2 hours, after unhooking the battery the 2nd or 3rd attempt seemed to return it to original backup... anyone know what the deal is here? i couldnt even apply one tune before it messed everything up, def will be returning this.

Updated it once and it was good. Asked me to a couple more times but went away as soon as I plugged it into my computer (told me no available updates)

But now I'm taking my tuck for a drive here and although I reset it to original backup I'm not convinced I'm on a stock tune. It feels a bit different but I'm not sure if I'm just making up things to worry about. Is there anyway to check which "tune" I'm on / if I'm actually at factory setup?

I keep hearing about how Diablo tuners do this same thing to other vehicles.

Only way I know is to plug the tuner into the truck or a computer then see if it shows being vin locked. If it's not showing a vin or "no liscesne" then your truck is not tuned.
