Just doesn't sound right. Its been a while but I think it only took a couple minutes to update mine.

When I hooked mine up to my computer and registered, it started to update. I was concerned at first because it looked like it was uploading the same thing over and over. I also ended up getting that white screen. It took mine probably close to an hour to fully update everything.

How's this?

3 1/2 days 2 lap tops finally installed....the wifey is sleeping so I can't do any road testing until tomorrow.
How do I turn off the speed limiter? Change my shift points? Set my screen more useful than this stock thing?

It does take a while. Took my Intune over an hour to update..I was getting worried at first until I was surfing the Diablo forums and seen that it was normal.

If you go into performance, you should see an option for Adjust Tune. That's where you'd set the shift points and speed limiter. As for the monitoring screen, you'll have to create your own with the gauges you want. There are a few gauge types to choose from, and then select the parameter you want the gauge to read.

One thing that Sean asks for loading the custom tune is to reset the adjustments you made to the canned tune that was loaded. So I would recommend not making any adjustments till you get the custom tunes back from him. But that's just me.

Actually, if I remember correctly, I think he mentioned that the tuner will ask you if you want to reset your adjustments before writing another tune. I'll have to check my emails.

So what's the speed limit on the canned and how much of a log does he need?

Speed limiter should be 155

and I think he needs a cruise and WOT (0-70+Mph) log.
All on the same log.

Cool I'll knock that out and get it in the mail to him right after I install that electric fan.

Below are Seans instructions once you have loaded his custom tune. This will need to be done on the premium fuel tune (91 or 93, whatever the highest you can get is). He doesn't tweak the lower octance tune.

Instructions:
I will only need a log of the premium fuel tune whenever you get nothing but premium fuel in the tank and run that tune. Log about 5 minutes of part throttle simple stop light to stop light driving and a 0 to 75 mph WOT run. This can be done in one log. You will need the dataviewer application off Diablo's download area to pull the log up to save and email me. log the below items for me :

Cooling : Engine Coolant Temp
Ignition : actual spark cyl 1
Miscellaneous : P-Ratio Map, Desired FA Cyl1
Misfire : KNK ST Retard, knock sensor 1 and 2 volts
Performance : Vehicle speed and engine rpm

Make sure the log you take is with the initial custom tune you get from him. He'll send those to you after you email him the original backup file and canned tuned file you loaded into the truck. Yes, as much as you're gonna hate it, that means you have to hook the tuner back up to the computer haha. But this part is the easy part.

Got a little road time this monring come to the dentist, let me go back to my original statement, Diablo sucks it! Compared to my Bully Dog, the canned tunes from the DS are some S__t!
But I haven't changed anything in the tune either. I tried once I got to the office and it let me change the tire size and traction control.

^^^ Yep, agree. If it wasn't for HF tune, I would have kept my BD over the DS. If anyone deserves an awesome tune now, it's you, with all the work you put in to getting that DS to cooperate!!!

Sounds like your only seeing the quick tune modifications. You need to go back to where you choose your tune, select your tune, and then select modify tune. From there you can modify all kinds of parameters like efan temps, part throttle shift points, wot shift points, spark and fuel advance, throttle boost, traction control, and tire size.
