I know this has been asked before yet I need clarification. I'm purely speaking of keeping my stock PCM on a shelf and swapping in a Diablo PCM. It's my understanding that on hellcats and others, it throws a p1400 code that alerts the dealer. Even if you were to swap back your stock PCM, it still alerts the dealer.
I'm reading conflicting information. Some are saying the Ram does not throw that code, yet still alerts the dealer after swapping back to stock. Others are saying even after you swap back in the original PCM, it still shows there was modification done. (albeit many claim the cluster updates the stock PCM after 20 miles or so so it appears untouched?)
Any help or thread I missed would be greatly appreciated! Trying to decide if it's worth getting a tune, or just sticking to a pedal commander for now.
