Did I mess up bad?

Today I was at a light using my phone long story short I got mad an threw it, happen to hit the airbag switch on the dash an right after the air bag light came on. What did I screw up?

there is a plug to the switch. could have just knocked the plug out. take the dash apart and take a look. think its like 8 screws or somthing.

You probably broke the switch itself if you nailed it directly with a cell phone

**** happens. An I wasn't driving. I don't consider covering a 1/4 mile in 30 mins by car much of driving. Thanks for the concern tho.

My buddy through his otter box-ed iPhone at his windshield of his Cherokee once and broke his windshield but his phone was fine haha (he has gone to anger management since we were young)
Assuming your truck has a key operated switch to turn the airbag on and off?

Yea that's the piece the phone struck. I turned it off, back on shut the truck off an back on but the light stays on.

Try to cycle the key operated switch first. Next remove the negative battery cable for several minutes and then plug it back in. If that does not work then you can go with the dash disassembly. Here is a link to how to do that: 06-08 dodge ram radio removal - YouTube

This one shows an automatic truck. It is almost exactly the same as in a stick shift.

I once tossed my keys up on the dash lightly and somehow they managed to bounced up and hit my windshield, and put I small chip in it which resulted in a spider web and windshield replacement. I was surprised bc I barely tossed them and it cracked it but it was -20℉ outside and an hour later the sun popped out. In the matter of 3 days it spread about 2 feet.

I once kicked the radio out of the dash of a truck because it never picked up a good station. A little toss of the phone is nothing. Hope it turns out good for you.
