Just wondered if anyone can explain how they can load a delete tune on a stock 2022+ ECM. I understand that it is not SOTF but why does EVERY other tuner require an ECM swap but not Diesel Patriots. Other than the reviews on their own web site I have not been able to find any other info about how it works or how well it performs.

2022 and newer need a use a ECM that can be unlocked from 2019-2021, the 2022 up ECU can not be unlocked at this time... IMHO based on problems from others who have used there product I would not trust Diesel Patriots line of BS that they can safely put a tune in a 2022 ECU and not have problems.....

Do NOT do that method. They are loading a factory file from an emission exempt vehicle. It is Not a tune, there is No trans tuning, There is No HP gain, nothing, it is basically a stock file from a different vehicle and it has been well documented to cause issues.

The 22+ ecm has not been cracked and likely never will be

Thanks for that info.

Even so, I don't understand how it can be flashed to a stock 22+ ecm if the ecm is locked.

What kinds of issues are being reported? I've been looking for that sort of user feedback but haven't been able to find any.

Because it's a stock factory file it has the correct keycode or encoding to be loaded just like a dealer would flash a factory tune.

As far as issues, you name it, from things that don't throw codes, to options that no longer work, to ghost codes, air ratio codes, I've seen all kinds of stuff reported. No way I would do it.

Got it. That makes sense. I can see why that would be kinda dicey. Thanks.
