The same way a lot on this forum turn them on, with AlfaOBD. If you have the 8.4 radio, you can even add the option Enable/Disable the DRLs

I have my DRL's disabled in the EVIC. On MY 19 Bighorn the DRL are headlights. But the front outer rim LED stays on ALL the time. I tried to get Dealer to turn them off also, so I had "DRL" controlled by the EVIC only when I wanted, and was told by Dealer, their tech with their Equipment had no access, could not turn off that outer ring. Even though not DRL, they remain on regardless...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I believe they are mandatory in Canada.
I understand but I replaced the quads with morimotos and they have their own dtrls so it's like there is a conflict or something.i heard I can change the country code to usa but cant find info on that just yet

I think my dedicated DRLs do something similar. I can select to turn DRLs off through the 8.4 radio but I think they turn on regardless if I turn the running or headlights on.

WELL on MY 15 ED (I still peruse the ED thread), they were not on. But then I had the quads. I wish I could turn these off on the MY 19 Bighorn. Maybe with ALphaOBD. But not gonna spend all that $$$ to just turn the LED RIMS off (especially since they R not my DRL's), since I would not know what I was doing, LOL. But I's a Bird

If the Morimotos use a separate DRL wire to each headlight, I wonder if you could add the dedicated DRL circuits to your truck. I did on my '15 that originally had Quads. I installed a set of Modifystreet headlights and the DRL circuits run the brow lights.

The older rams you could push one click on the e-brake and shut them off. And I never had any brake drag doing that.

I know exactly what your issue is. Like mentioned, get the AlfaOBD and check into this thread- https://www.ramforum.com/threads/alfaobd.123982/. First post has all the info you need. Basically you’re going to disable your high beam location from being DRLs. This is the one situation Morimoto didn’t take into account for those lights- Canadian Rams with factory quads.
