Does it bother any one here when people call your 4th gen Ram a Dodge? I am not trying to be too technical, but I noticed that an employee at our company listed a recent long term lease as a 2016 Dodge Ramcharger. She thought all trucks are either Ford, Chevy or Dodge ramchargers. The truck is a 2016 Ram 2500. I laughed about the listing on the spreadsheet with about 900 other various company vehicles. The listing was never corrected and now I learned that we purchased the vehicle. I asked how we got a book value on that particular truck because it appears to be the only one in existence. The vehicle is even tagged as 2016 Dodge Ram. I requested a book value document on that particular 2016 "Dodge" truck and they could not supply one.
Now people make it a point to ask about my 2013 "Dodge" 1500. I then ask about their Pontiac/GMC 1500 that they drive. When it comes to documenting a vehicle, is it too over the top to ask for the make and model be correct or is it just a non issue to most?

To me they are still dodges and should be called as such. I like the history of the dodge brothers. For decades they were dodges, then they rebranded, but they are still dodge rams to me.

To each their own though

I see it all the time, but it doesn't bother me.

Probably because I hate the change. Change for the sake of change just seems silly to me. I preferred the Dodge Ram.

Dodge truck have had a Ram logo on on them, somewhere, since 1932.

Now suddenly Fiat decides to convert the model name into the make, and convert the size number into the model name. I've no idea what they thought these changes to an 86 year old tradition we're necessary.

They are built by Fiat Chrysler LLC. not Dodge. If you can find a book value for the bank for a 2016 Dodge truck you may really have something there.

Agh I don’t mind it, takes way to much energy to correct someone and explain why it’s not considered a Dodge anymore. Plus we all know it’s the same damn truck as a Dodge Ram... and I own a Charger so regardless I own at least one Dodge.

My wife's Dodge Durango was also built by Fiat Chrysler LLC. Oddly enough, it still has Dodge on all the paperwork.

Us older guys are more resistant to unnecessary change.

I like PCs, and hate using cellphones for computing. I use a PC for CAD/CAM and generating g-code files for CNC equipment. I absolutely despise the newish crap that I have to use now.

Little cartoonish icons, symbols and **** colors on everything. I want my lists, menus, text and numbers back. I like to see the word "print", not some idiotic little rectangle thats supposed to represent a printer.

At the rate were going, we won't have to worry about Dodge vs Ram, because in a few decades there won't be anyone left who knows how to design one.

In the 50s, about half of college students were studying engineering, math and science. Now, 95% are learning about ethnic diversity studies, hip hop and sucking farts out of seat cushions.

Any time I'm forced to interact with mellenials, who love the change for the sake of change, I feel like Joe "not sure" Bauer's, at the hospital trying to explain his symptoms to the clerk.

Also very well said! Agreed. But you forgot about the mindset today with kids and sports. Everyone gets a trophy win or loose. But I digress...

Holy crap I just sent my morning coffee through my nose! That's awesome!

You forgot to add their prospective jobs..... I hear that "life coach" and "Zen counsellor" are quite popular. Not sure what exactly they do. Oh, there's also "pet therapist" positions.

Bwahahaha thanks for the morning laugh!

My 09 still says Dodge on all the paperwork, so I guess I'm fine with it. I will say that I'm not fond at all of the big RAM letters on the back of the newer trucks. If I had one of those, I'd have to find a ways to remove that.

I have to correct you - they won't need to work, the government will take care of them - at least, that's their expectations!

I was at my dealership talking with the service manager and said something about Dodge - then I said "Oops, I mean RAM". He chuckled and said " They will always be Dodge to me"

Old habits die hard. My 11 sport had the name "dodge" on the dash. I consider my ram a dodge.

It's really not a Fiat because Chrysler is still Chrysler and is just owned by Fiat.
As far as Whether it's a RAM or a Dodge...It says RAM on it and the title says RAM, so it's a RAM.
Although it really doesn't matter what you call it to me.
