last week while driving down the highway the truck just shut off. I muscled it off the highway, popped the hood and notice it steaming like it was overheating but coming from the front and back of engine. check fluids and they were topped off. The radiator cap was cold. Oil change the week previous. Trouble getting it to start but when it would it would Shake violently, tick, then shut off again. Borrowed an OBD II scanner and it kicked out codes p0441 and P0300. I have no clue what's wrong. Thanks for reading and greatly thank you for any answers.

Basic Info on those two codes:

P0441 Dodge
Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow. Code detection: This code indicates that the EVAP system is not operating properly.

P0300 Dodge
The P0300 code means that a cylinder(s) is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks, intake gaskets are commonly caused by multi-cylinder misfiring.

Given that you saw steam, I would check on the intake and head gaskets first.

Cold radiator cap + steam on the engine tells me you have a coolant leak. The steam is from the coolant getting burned off the engine.

There is probably a clog somewhere, most likely in the radiator so all the hot coolant is finding a different way out.

An over temped engine will have fail safes to keep it from starting or run poorly and die. Let it cool off for a couple hours. Once cool, if im correct, it will start and run normally. If thats the case, shut it off and start troubleshooting your cooling system
