Door handle remove chrome inlay

What’s the best way to remove/change out the chrome inlay in the door handle without having to replace the entire handle. Do you think it would hold paint to make it all body color ? It maybe to textured to wrap. Any thoughts ? 2022 ram

Wrap doesn't last, and paint will flake off. The only true way is to replace the handle. I did and tried about everything then finally replaced the handles

How hard was the replacement? Have to pull all the door panels ?

Yes I haven’t done a 5th gen yet. It’s not terrible. Once you do one the other 3 should be the same.
