Personally I just use WD-40. But on a car I was trying to sell I used petroleum jelly, only issue may be dirt and dust get stuck in the jelly working like an abrasive, but as long as you do it very lightly it shouldn't cause any issues.

Aerokroil. Also make sure you spray whatever you use in to the top of the door bushings with a nozzle preferably for it to really get in there. I tried just spraying the hinges the first time and it was nowhere near as effective. Started groaning again within a few weeks. Last time I sprayed it right into the top of the bushings and its been quiet for at least 6 mos.

Never has much luck with the classic wd40. Either fluid film or 5w30 lol

Oddly I find my Chevy pickups I've owned to be the only things that ever need it. Owned the Prius a few years now and nothing. On my second ram pickup and although this one is a year old now, never touched either one. But my chevys needed something or they got stiff and groaned.

I've had decent luck with this. Being a "dry lube" it doesn't leave an oily film behind for you to rub onto your clothes getting in and out of the truck.

IMO white lube or any grease will get a lot of grit in it and possibly wear out the hinges I like wd 40 silicone spray especially that it's water resistant

I have had great luck using 3 in one oil with teflon. A few drops on the center pin of the roller and the groaning stopped for a year.

It's funny you mentioned Petroleum Jelly ... That's what I use, and I keep a jar of it in my truck ... I also have a jar on my work bench and use it for interior door hinges in my house as well .. It usually lasts a couple of years before needing another application ...
