Door Lock Question

2019 Ram Classic, I noticed today that when I lock or unlock my truck door using the door panel or the key fob I hear a clicking from inside the driver door. The doors lock and unlock and honestly I cant remember ever noticing this before. Doesnt seem to be an issue, just thought I would ask.

Mine makes a noticeable "Thunk". The tailgate even more so, hope that's normal...?

It’s normal, you’re just hearing the lock actuator. I think every vehicle I’ve had you have been able to hear it.

Hi David, yes it is normal to hear a mechanical sound when your doors lock or unlock. If you believe this sound you are hearing is concerning, you can certainly take your Ram into the dealer for diagnosis.
