I'm about to order the last part of my sound system and I'm stuck on this decision. Shoul I go with back with 4 6x9 or 6x9 in the front and 6.5 in the back?
What would you do ? I'm not going for screaming loud. I'm want clean sound

6.5s are my vote as you will find so many more that will fit without much modification

Are you taking 6.5's front and rear or just rear ?
The 6x9 and 6.5's I'm looking at will not require any mods other than building a plate for the rears

I have 6x9s Infinity's up front but plan on moving them to the rear doors and replacing them with 6 1/2s when I get some free time. The 6x9s sound good, they just don't fit like I want them to.

In doing a full planet audio build. I'm using the planet audio sphere for my doors. The 6x9 have a 200w rms 400 max with a 3 1/8" mounting depth. The 6.5 are 150rms 300 max 2 3/8" depth

I like the tone of 6.5's for the front doors. They do not have the midbass of a 6x9, but the tone will sound better.
For the rears....I do nothing, keep them stock...you really should not hear them anyways...

I'm with auto, also the max depth you can get with a 6x9 is 3in so you would have to make a space to fit the planet audio ones.

I gotta have the rears because I'll have 3 7" TV's hooked into the system
