I blew out my OEM Transfer Case Motor ******* around last week in some mud testing out new tires . ( I got stuck in 4 Low when the magnet delaminated inside the motor. )

That in itself is an easy fix, Just pull the motor and turn the chuck clockwise to get back to 2WD.

Today the Dorman 600-908 showed up. Hoping this one will last 10y as well...

Its a super easy swap. The pin is super easy to pull and reinstall as well. The only down side of this whole thing is the price tag of this part... 170$ for a Dorman part is something I never thought Id see in my lifetime...lol...

I stepped in to replace the motor on my daughter’s RAM, trouble is the guy that removed it for her didn’t give us the three bolts. Apparently they’ve been discontinued and I haven’t been able to easily find new ones. Even the dealer’s parts system was of no help. Anyone able to tell me size, thread pitch etc, so I can complete what should’ve been an easy job?

How many times did you have to turn the stub shaft clock wise for the new doorman, I’m trying to replace my OEM one and turn it’s clock wise until it won’t go or snapped back to about 11 o’clock, now my dodge is stuck in 4Low with new actuator

It was so long ago I don't remember. But make sure to pull this part out of the old one. You can use it as a tool to trun the T-Case :anitoof:

Okay, thanks. I can’t find a diagram or break down on positioning for the stub axel. Hopefully the transfer case motor is defective. Do you remember if you turned your motor to same orientation as stub or just turn the stub to match motor ?

I put the T-Case switch in 2wd and made sure my T-case was also in 2wd with the tool I made ripping the old motor appart. ;)

Had my buddy play with the 4x4 switch while I was under the truck to make sure all the positions worked on the new motor as well. And had that in 2wd when installing.

If all 3 are in 2WD that triangle spline should line right up.

Update: I pulled the mechanical neutral in the dodge and put my emergency brake on, you move the stub axel all the way clockwise and you’re in 2HI. It being in neutral makes it 100x easier to turn that stub axel.

But, I’m still blowing my slot 77 fuse so my dodge won’t shift into 4WD after a few times of pressing the button.

Any suggestions would be great!
