04 Quad Cab 8' bed Hemi, NV243 Transfer Case, Under 60k miles. Sat unused for a while getting it back roadworthy with a hiccup.
Problem- intermittent at low speed (say under 5 mph) I "sometimes" feel major clunk, and I think a wheel or two locks for a moment. I rock it with reverse and forward a few times and I can move it again. When I get over say 10 mph it rides/shifts/drives fine. Kind of feels like I run over a small curb.
I didn't notice the problem till after I tried the 4 wheel high, then the 4 wheel low. Always been very hard to get into 4 wheel low.
Seems to me that it's either a transfer case, drive shaft or a rear diff problem.
Is there an easy way to troubleshoot?
