I bought this truck yesterday. I have a 4-switch driver's seat. The seat's forward/back and the lumbar work, all others do not. Is there a common issue with these I could look at first? Common wire, fuse, ground or other junction point? It seems unlikely that so many functions would be bad at the same time (unless the switch block is poorly designed). Thanks in advance.

Under the seat, there are 3 or 4 motors.
The motors are interchangeable, you just have to change the adaptor at the end of the shafts

I think one motor works the forward/back movement
Another motors works the Seat Tilt
a 3rd one works the Seat Back Upright & Prone positions

You should be able to use a flashlight & hand held mirror to see what does what.

There are videos, that show how to remove the seat bottom.
One of the videos is about replacing the seats foam & upholstery, that allows someone to look down through the seats springs

Hello I have a 1996 ram 1500 I bought new. Sounds like the same trim package. The power seat has three motors: one for the front edge of the seat, one for the rear edge, one for forward and back. The seat comes off the rail with four bolts and all this is readily exposed. Very easy to test. And the parts are not expensive from the usual sources. may as well replace all three motors in the switches while you have it taken apart. Be good for another 30 years. Good luck.
