Hello all!

New dodge owner 2015 1500 Outdoorsman with 5.7 Hemi.
New to the forum.

Does anyone have any experience with the drivers sun visor not fitting snug against roof liner?
I push it up and it will fall down a 1/4 inch.
Passenger side is fine.

Before I go to the dealer I wanted to check with the experts!

Great Forum and fantastic information
Thanks

My '13 sits snug to the headliner on both sides, sounds like yours must just be a bit weak on that side.

My '09 does the same thing, drops down about 1/4". I thought it was due to age. I'll have to look into seeing about "adjusting" it. Otherwise, it's not that much of a deal to me... But, seeing seeing as how you got a new '15... Yeah, that would irritate me too!

Can you tighten the screws that hold the visor to the roof?

I checked the screws they are tight.

Thanks for the help.

Talked to dealer of course stealer said it was normal.

I pointed out passenger side was snug and stayed that way.
Service manager supposedly looked at two new ones on the lot and they were doing the same thing. He said he was going to email Mopar and see what's up.

I'm sure the Cubs will win a World Series before I hear back from them.

My 2014 does that too. I have found that if you push it up further than necessary (the headliner will push up a little) it stays then.....

Did the dealer come back with anything on this? Mine does the same thing since day one. If I pull it part way down and push it back up it will sit tight. The passenger side is fine. I thought it was my garage door opener but was causing it to not go all the way up but even moving that it still did it.

Mine does it but that's because I have a sleeve of CDs up there.

I think the issue is where the rod goes into the visor its a big hole. So it moves around. Mine does this too. I thought about finding something to fix it, but not sure how.

Nothing from the dealer.
It is still doing it.
If I hear from them I will let everyone know.

Thanks for all the advice

My new (used) 14 does the same thing. My new 14 i traded for this truck sits tight. I did notice on my newest (used) truck that there is an indent of something that was clipped on there, i assumed the weight of it just pulled it down and made it stay like that. i was thinking of bringing it to the dealer to have them fix it as its annoying cause the thing bounces around, and it looks like it's defective.

Mine will do that after I use my sunshade a few times. Usually I can solve it by just pushing it further up or ill slide the whole visor onto the rod a little more.

My 2011 has always done this too. I find if I kinda push it and let it flip up hard, it stays up.

Mine does this too, but if I extend out the visor on it's rod and then flex it in the direction that it should go towards the headliner and then put it back. Then it fits tight. This may or may not be understandable as written. :)

My 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn is doing the same thing on the driver side only. Passenger side stays snug against headliner. Annoying and just cheap looking for such and expensive rig.

Has anyone actually taken the visor off and taken it apart to see if something can be corrected internally? Or has anyone actually had a dealer replace the visor assembly because it qualified as defective?

Mine is going in for warranty work tomorrow morning for another issue, and I'm going to bring up the sun visor when I drop it off. I'll post feedback if it gets resolved.

In follow up to the above, I picked up my truck today and they replaced the sun visor assembly with new. Problem is resolved and it fits up snug against the headliner now.
