have a 2019 ram 2500 6.4 with 400 miles on it. Last night I changed the 4 door speakers to alpine type E 6x9 at 4 ohms.

This morning going to work the truck had a horrible droning noise around 2k rpm in all gears. AT FIRST I suspected MDS, however my exhaust is stock and when I put the truck in gear 8 to disable MDS it doesn't make it go away. The noise is so bad its giving me a headache to drive it.

Could changing the speakers have done something? Not really up to speed on all the new features on this truck. Saw somewhere about the noise cancelling.

Only other thing I have done is spray fluid film to the undercarriage a week ago. The noise happened to start immediately after the speaker swap however.... somebody help.

Just saw on another forum about disabling the ANC under the driver seat. There is no amp under there like pictured on other forum with this issue. Do they put them somewhere else on the HD?

Yes it is. I just replaced all the stock speakers and the noise is completely gone. Really sucks because I have all this money in aftermarket equipment!

I have all the speakers in the headline and my build sheet says it has the Noise cancellation on it. It is a ram 2500 if that makes a difference.

Hello, I know this is a bit late but could help others with same problem. I too upgraded my speakers and notice the same drone noise when starting my truck and when driving, the noise would come and go. I later found out that it was the noise cancellation system under the driver seat. I took it to the dealer to get and oil change and told them to upgrade the firmware on the noise cancelation system. That will solve your problem.

Under the driver seat is where it’s located on a 1500 DT Ram. On a HD Ram, it is located under the dash on the driver side footwell next to the parking brake pedal.
