Hey Everyone,

I am a dually newbie. I am having trouble finding a gauge that will work with the inside tires of our 2017 Ram 3500.

The inside tire stems are rubber and not rigid. I have a hard time getting the gauge and my air chuck seated. Instead, when I attempt to seat them, I lose air.

What kind of gauge and air chuck work well for duallys?

So far I have tried a double headed air chuck that works well for the outside tire but will not seat properly on the outside.

Thanks for your help.

Welcome to RamForum.

I think you could solve the problem from the other direction. Swap out the flexible stems with rigid ones.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am about to show my ignorance. How do I do this? Is this something that a dealership has to do?

Take it to a tire shop instead. Dealer will charge an outrageous price to do this.

A tire shop will have the stems and may even have some that can extend to the outer wheel as well so they are easier to reach.

Can you monitor the rear wheel tire pressure on all four tires back there?

Belligerent? Hmmm my spelling was correct and I even added an emoji for said sarcasm. Do we not have a sense of humor?

That is a good question. I thought I could. I have the Laramie trim. Didn't think to ask.

Plenty of humor here. Just don't scare the newbs away.
