Hey everyone, me again. I decided to move on from my 1500 build and start a crazy new one.
Yesterday my 2021 Laramie Mega Cab 2500 6.7 landed.
Pearl white, Night Edition, Off-Road package, 12 inch screen, sunroof, Laramie Level 1 and of course a lot more. I’ll post a window sticker one day.

I am going to use this as my build thread.

The truck is beautiful as is, but I plan to make a monster out of her.

I won’t talk much about what I PLAN to do, but post as it’s done.

So for now, here she is stock, and dirty, just as she rolled off the truck (before she got washed up).

Also, I am always open to answer questions or take in advice. I work for Ram, and spent a few years building my last one, but I am always willing to learn more. This build will include a lot more ‘perfection’ I guess you could say. I am older now, and have a bit more patience. I will not take shortcuts at all. Thank you for joining me!

Need help!

Are there any aftermarket options for Mega Cab all weather floor mats? In my last Ram Crew Cab I had Rough Country all weather floor mats and I loved them, but can’t find a full set for the mega cab. Help me if you can!

This is the only forum I will be posting my truck. It has come to my attention that someone used my pictures to create a post on another forum. This is the one and only! Thank you.

You might be stuck with OEM. I looked at both Weathertech, and Husky. Neither make rear floor mats for the mega cab.

Put on my Pedal Commander today with only 200 miles in the truck. I am really shocked with the difference. I always thought it was kind of a scam, but it feels like a whole new truck. Install was easy. Unlock the truck, leave door open, leave the key over 30 feet away from the truck to make sure the computer completely shuts down, wait 10-15 minutes for it to shut down. After that, unplug the gas pedal sensor(I guess that is why you’d call it) plug in the male side of the Pedal Commander to the female side of the sensor and then do the opposite for the other side. And BAM, you’re done. I also downloaded the app which is super easy to use and can be used on the fly. Highly suggest this modification. And best part is that it will not effect your warranty. After my warranty is up I will go for a real tune.

I found it odd that everything on my truck was LED, other than my third brake light. So I swapped out the yellowish/dull lights for some LED’s from a local LED store. Cost me only $10. Made a world of difference from stock(sorry, forgot to get pictures before).

Just got my truck back from the tint shop. 45% on the windshield and %15 on the front sides. Not the best pictures, sorry. But she is looking better!

They’re on! And she got her first bath today too.

Looks good. I'm curious though, why did you go with the aftermarket AMP steps instead of the factory retractable steps? I've been led to believe they are the same, but the AMP ones are more expensive.

I work for a dealer, so the amp steps cost me $1200 plus $200 install. The factory Mopar’s do not hide away as nicely in my opinion, and they stay down too long for me. And I just overall like the AMP step look more.

Got around to mounting the Pedal Commander this morning before work. I ran it underneath the steering wheel. Just had to pull back the plastic between the wheel and the underside of the dash. They provided zip ties, so I just used those to tie the wires up to existing wires. the Velcro mounts hold pretty strong.

This threads may slow down for a couple months. My lift is about 8 weeks out, and that’s before paint. And since my wheels are made to order, and the tires are on back order, it could be longer. I will update on the small changes but the big changes will be slow. Always keeping this updated though! This will always be my progress journal lol.

Got the Weathertech floor mats in just now. Looks good, fits well and got them for only $98.
