I keep reading online and seeing the 09+ hemis referred to as eagle motors.........any one know y

Probably not much help but I just assumed it was like code name sort of speak like the 6.4l are apache

Because of the heads and VVT setup. When you look at aftermarket stuff for them internally they should be labled as that or 09+ like you referred to. Im not 100% sure if Mopar coined the term or not but you will see it used alot to show the difference from the 03-08 blocks. The blocks didnt change from 03-08, 09 it did change.

Higher compression in 09-up as well.

^Which is suprising that they seem to do alill better boosted. ZNormally low CR nets better boost gains.
