Never heard of VMS Racing. I'd stick with a better known company. Magnaflow, Flow Master etc

I have a Goerlich muffler, made by AP Exhaust, kinda like a knock-off Flowmaster. I've been really happy with it and it wasn't expensive.

hell for the price, if it sounds good and last 2 years it probably wouldn't be bad..LOL

honestly if you got this which would require you to have it welded in i wouldn't worry about getting the mufflex. All the mufflex consists of is a 14" magnaflow universal muffler with pipes welded on to clamp it into to the location of the factory muffler(it is a kit to eliminate having to have pipes welded in)

my big problem is what all do i need to mount this muffler to my truck ? looks like the two pipe out lets are pretty short, lets say i get this mount it and its to loud or sounds like **** ? now i have to cut welds... surely you can clamp this on with out welding it

only problem with that is you still need pipe from the muffler back to the original location that the stock muffler ended. Here is what the 14" kit looks like(i'm sure you have seen it, but i would think you would have to get somebody to bend and weld some pipe for you.

guess ill hold out for a mufflex unless their is a cheaper exhaust that is "turn key" like the mufflex if their is one i have not seen it

sorry man. I understand where you are coming from. I wanted something that i could bolt right in and not need welded so I could take it back out if need be
