Boy, did I ever learn the lesson of Amazonian parts back in 2017! I overhauled a 1ZZ FE Toyota 1.8L engine in a Pontiac Vibe (A rebadged Toyota Matrix). You been had by the wonderous place called EbayNever buy anything that's a b!atch to change from either Epay or Amazon. Trying to save a buck, bites when you have to do the job over again and spend the money to buy the good parts.
Just to give you a heads up,never buy sparkplugs from either site,as the majority of their name brand plugs are fake knock offs.
I ordered a timing chain kit with the VVT actuator and rebuilt the engine.
During test drive, it ran very well, but the "Check Engine light came on.
After double checking ALL my work, I was able to determine that the idjits who made that POS stamped the timing mark one tooth off!.
With much effort, and rutzafrutza-ing, I removed the front engine cover, in chassis... OH, what a nightmare!
I bought an OE actuator and chain AND tensioner, put it back together, and DID in fact, learn a VERY expensive lesson!
