Hey guys. Been doing my research on here and other places on the web. seen a lot of talk about the EBC greenstuff and the EBC yellowstuff pads. however, nothing about EBC redstuff pads? any reason why? I did a search, but hardly anything came up about the REDs so that is why I created this post.

I am about due for front pads AND rotors and will be going with EBC.... just not sure which ones.

I will not be racing the truck at all, but it does get driven a bit "hard" from time to time around town and on trips. I only haul s small boat and utility trailer on rare occasion....but MIGht be buying an old 1975 pro-street camaro and an enclosed trailer in a few years time (thats another discussion about towing for another day)
This truck IS my daily driver. It currently has 56,000 miles on it. 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 2wheel drive, crew cab 5.7L automatic with the 20" aluminum wheels

the redstuff seems like a nice blend in characteristics between green and yellow, but peopledont seem to be using them or at least posting about it. any reasons why ? rif so, recomendations on green or yelow ?

not sure about going flat rotors or going with dimpled and slotted

dust isnt a big deal for me, as I wash the truck regularly.

I think the greens would be a way better than stock setup right? also i dont want to go TOO aggressive on the brake system, my camaro is for that kind of hard braking

I think you dont see much on the Reds for trucks because even tho they are good for heavy vehicles they are not really known to be a "truck pad" . the yellows and green are better suited for trucks.

WE offer EBC so let me know if you would like a quote.

Dimpled/slotted is purely for appearance, they don't make any significant difference in performance unless you're pushing the pads hard like in an autocross even where the slots will wipe any pad glazing clean. I run the dimpled/slotted rotors on mine but 95% of the time it's because they look 'sporty'.

If you do greenstuff pads, make sure you get the 7000 series for the fronts, they are a harder version and will keep the dust down drastically compared to the 6000 series. I personally run greenstuff pads (7000) front/(6000) rear on my truck and I'm pushing 700hp and run a hydraulic brake booster. Yellowstuff pads are geared towards heavier towing where you need a harder bite and they handle a higher temperature before glazing, the downside is they bite really hard when cold for quite a while. With either pad you're going to boil your brake fluid in the caliper before you hit max temperature of the pads.

Redstuff pads are definitely geared towards the racing crowd, just like orangestuff pads are geared towards the HD truck towing crowd.

thanks for the reply. I'll eliminate the redstuff pads from my choices. I think I'll go with the greenstuff, since it is a daily driver and I am not hauling around as much trailers/loaded beds.
