Was picking my truck up from dealer from having a 30k service done, salesmen and I were talking about the 2015 Eco Diesel, and then he rambled off numbers.
They were dropping price of the truck 6 grand and offered me 25,500 in trade, I laughed.
I said I would go to a BIG supply dealer and get more off the price.
This was a Quad cab 4x4 big Horn with full center console.
Im not really looking to get a new truck, as I just paid off this 2013 Ram.
Told them I would be back Dec. 31st
lol

I did a few things that I really of didn't need,
they did
tune up 16 plugs
rear diff. fluid change
fuel injection cleaning
brake fluid flush
needed a front end alignment

was 750.00
They say at 50k the transmission fluid is recommended

they wont do the next major service tho.
that's stuff they recommend at 30, I figured what the hell, I like this truck and want to keep it running good.
I just didn't have the time to it or the know how.

Plugs? At 30k? I didn't know the Hemi was a dual spark engine. Fuel injection clean? At 30k? Rear diff fluid at 30k? Can't speak to the 2013 Ram, but, my 2002 F150 has plugs that are good for 100k. Rear diff also. Would definitely consider another dealer next time. Might also want to verify what they're recommending against your owners manual.

Jesus $750?! I just change the oil in mine. Last Ram I changed the oil every 8000 kms did the spark plugs at 90,000 kms. Didn't have any issues ever

Holy crap! I'm going to assume for $750 they are recouping the cost of their shrink ray that they use to send a tech inside the injectors to clean them by hand.

Seriously, that just seems like some fluff that they're using to make money. A brake fluid flush at 30K, that's just excessive.

well with what I had done, the over all running has improved.
mileage went back up a mpg.
the 2013 manual says plugs every 30k
the fuel injection I agree I really didn't need, BUT the response is much better, as in, like it was new again.
Brake fluid flush, yea maybe didn't need, they claim they test it to see the break down.
This dealer is really recommended in the area, that's why I went ahead and had it all done.
Check your owners manual for this mess if you have the 2013 with hemi.

I did call around, and they were the lowest, one dealer wanted 900.00 for same, I laughed at them and hung up.
Plan on going to that dealer and show them what I paid.
Funny thing is, it was all owned by same family of people.

yep 16 plugs total and i've been told half of them are a pain to get at. my book says they don't need touched till 120k km tho

yep it's all right out of the manual. thing is tho most of what's suggested at 30k in the manual is for severe duty and regular duty is more like 60k. my diff fluid was horrible looking for some reason which the dealer says is normal for the factory oil and said that usually after being changed it'll go 60k or so before getting bad again
