"ECO" versus "Eco"... fun/weird question.

Okay, here's the sitrep:

Got a check engine light a few weeks ago. Take it to the dealer under warranty. Dealer orders new Active Grille Shutter set, and I wait for the part to come in (no biggie - it's a small country dealership, so no worries.) Part comes in Monday, I go in today, they replace the shutters. Everything drives awesome on the 35-mile drive home. Should add that my truck has the uConnect RA-5 (not 3, not 8... 5.)

Now for the fun part...

Before the shutters crapped out, when I went into Eco mode, the instrument cluster center display screen would happily show a big fat "ECO" (Bold, in all-caps) up top.

On the way home, I noticed that when the mode kicks in, it now says "Eco" ( <- shown exactly as you see it, mixed-case, not bold).

So... I assume this means something got flashed, but does anyone (especially those who do this professionally) know offhand what got flashed?

My truck was flashed the last three times it has been to the dealer. Any time there is a recall, they flash the computer, if that is the fix, even if I just drop it off for its oil change. The receipt the dealer provides should list everything they do. I've never asked them to do it, but they seem to be proactive about the recalls.

So far, the only difference I've been able to notice is how the cruise control accelerates when resume is pushed. It used to accelerate like the truck had a pair when I hit resume, but now it is pretty tame.

Maybe "ECO" means there is a problem and "Eco" means all is well? Maybe before they crapped out completely, they were always hanging up or not closing all the way so were trying to tell you something?

Has anyone figured anything out about this? This morning I used "cruise" and "resume" and wasnt paying attention to the way the truck felt. but i didnt notice the "ECO" on my dash. Not sure if it was "ECO" or "Eco"...
