I drive a 5.9 v8 magnum 318 cubic inches 1994 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving everything electrical shut off. I have no speedometer, no lights, nothing. But the engine still runs fine. Also, when I took the key out of my ignition the truck was still running, if I turned the light switch off, the engine shut off. I have never heard of anything like this, is it something minor or major?

This is VERY strange.

The first place I would start is the bulkhead connector that is behind the driver side wheel. You'll have to remove the plastic liner to get to the connector. Unbolt it, and clean the contacts REAL good. coat the terminals with DiElectric grease and reassemble.

This is a common source of electrical demons on Gen II Rams.

That is a strange one indeed. But yeah, check the bulkhead first, then I'd look for any shorted out wires in the ignition circuit.

Does the truck start with the light switch off? Maybe something is crossed. I know I messed up crossing a wire with the radio so the headlights were on if the radio was.haha

Sounds to me like a ground issue or maybe the key assembly isn't working anymore.
