Hey guys. What's a good electric cut-out to get for my 2012 1500? I have a Borla cat back (not that it matters for this) want something that's reliable and durable but doesn't cost and arm and I leg. I saw one on Amazon made by SpecD Tuning for $125 but no reviews. Found another on Summit Racing for $225. Any suggestions would be great. P.S. I know some guys will say just go with a muffler delete BUT I don't want to **** my neighbors off when I leave for work at 4:30am every morning. Cut-outs allow me to only **** people off when I want too!!! Haha

You talking about the exhaust valves that allow you to switch between open pipe and muffled?

I would think the loss of back pressure would hurt performance but it would def **** ppl off which is fun

Which is why I want the electric cut off. So I can open it when I want to annoy people. Because like you said, that's always fun. Lol. I don't want to be an ass ALL the time. Just when it's called for. Lol

Doesn't hurt performance at all and makes a difference in the top end. I'm my case it's about a .5 sec difference with my setup.

Lots of us have them on here. I ran the QTP on my '07 with a Borla exhaust and loved it, the '09 was running dual QTPs until I had enough back pressure and heat to bend the butterfly valves and I finally had to ditch them.

Same here QTP with long tube headers... And a short 12"dump pipe before my magnaflow 16869 cat back.
