What’s the going rate for a lifetime maxcare warranty for a 2018 RAM 1500 with the hemi? Ziegler’s site says it’s $3145 with a $200 deductible, seems kinda high.

So I imagine that they won't be offering much in terms of discounts since everyone will be running now to purchase their lifetime warranties?

If you are paying in full and not using the payment plan, try using promo code “payinfull” without the quotes. Otherwise if you email or call them, they will give you a promo code.

Wow...gone up 25%-30% since I got mine
Baseb on what I paid in 2016 on wife's Cherokee, you are correct. If you can find it cheaper, let me know.

Yeah just for the hell of it I KBB’d the value of a 2009 Laramie with 100K miles and the trade in value was still in the $14K range in very good condition which is still a lot more than the biggest of repairs might cost. Still curious as to what Added Care won’t cover that Maxcare will.

MaxCare covers 5000+ components vs. 800 for added care

At the bottom of the page is a good comparison chart.

Well this is sad news. I don't know of any other major manufacturer that gives a lifetime warranty. I have 13 months left on my factory warranty and was looking to purchase one of these. Unfortunately I dont have $3000 to purchase before the 30th. Looks like I'll be going with the 8 year Maxcare warranty next year. Would've been nice to have that lifetime option

That's exactly what I was looking for; thanks! An actual side by side comparison chart. The biggest thing that jumps out at me is that Maxcare covers the heater core and Added Care does not.

https://www.chryslerwarrantydirect....MIyuqc-8Xv3gIVN__jBx0h3wDuEAAYASAAEgL9aPD_BwE has 18 month interest free financing which is what I'm going to have to do myself.

If you dive into it deeper there are more things it covers, such as heater actuator doors that used to fail, download the maxcare pdf file.
It covers almost everything except minor wear items, the cat coverter (curiously) and a few other minor things. There actually is the list of what is not covered and it is small.
Glad I could help.

Yup. Do you know what a dealer charges for a new engine with install?

Whoops, that price was for a lifter cam repair, a new engine with install ? I have no idea.

Lifetime Maxcare warranty is good for people that use the dealership service department for Everything including oil changes. Guy on a different forum had is engine failure blamed on him for using a aftermarket oil filter, Maxcare denied his claim. Another guy on this forum had his tranny blow up and they blamed him because he serviced his own transmission, Maxcare denied his claim. If they have Any excuse to deny your claim they will. Good short term business plan.

Guy like me that enjoy maintaining a vehicle it's bitter sweet. I like having the option of what oil I use and having the option of using my favorite fluids. This is not an option with Maxcare.

It is the same as the factory warranty, if the dealer goes to screw you then you get screwed.
Maxcare doesn't come out and look at the vehicle they go by what the dealer says and since warranty labor time and rate is less than customer pay a shady dealer will pull the stunts you have listed above.

Even though it's not the same as the 3/36, if they try to deny you, take it to court. They still have to prove you caused the issue don't they?
