Hi everyone, New to the forum. I have a 2016 Ram Tradesman 1500 with the 3.6 and trying to find how many and location of engine to frame/ chassis grounds I should be looking for. I found the one from battery to Riverside fender, but I would think there should be more. thank you.

Research the Big 3 mod.Just run a couple new ones off the ground on the drivers fender.Run one to the frame and another to the engine, easier then trying to find and fix the factory grounds.

Additional grounds are an essential upgrade to beef up our vehicles (or any vehicle for that matter) electrical systems.

With all the electronic goodies plastered throughout today's vehicles, their electrical systems thoroughly benefit from solidly placed grounding.

I've got several additional grounds on my truck and it has improved the overall operational prowess of my trucks electrical system, to the point that it's actually noticed.

Back when my 14 was new i had issues with the tailgate not unlocking properly, dealer replaced the electric latch assembly under warrenty, and it still acted up,then i got busy adding a bunch more grounds to the truck, with one from the back of the frame to the box ,and i never had another issue with the tailgate after that.I ran extra grounds to the frame /engine /and both fenders,i also ran another ground inside the truck to the metal dash frame . I also beefed up the feed from the alternator to the battery and ran another extra feed from the battery to the fuse box,and i swear the headlights /heater etc. all worked better after bulking up the hot side of the electrical. Years ago there was a whole long thread over on the Z about the big 3 upgrade with guys claiming more power and better gas milege,i never really noticed any differance in either, but when we did the big 3 mod to my buddies 2012,he swore up and down that he was getting close to 2 mpg better milege when he was towing his 7,000 lb travel trailer. The trucks are notorious for being a bit light on wiring, and i've yet to run into anybody who's ran into any downsides after doing the Big 3 wiring mod

Certainly solved several electrical issues I was experiencing when I did the big 3 upgrade.

Not difficult. Takes more time to run cables than it does to make them.

I'm in the process of doing this to my 2024 classic warlock today.
