Swapped out 5.7 Hemi out of my 2014 Ram 1500 and replaced with another 5.7 out of a
2017. Everything went in fine until got the transmission. Can't get it to line up to bolt in.
Looks like the torque converter may be preventing it from flushing up against the motor.
Does the converter need to b e changed out or I just missing something keeping it from
lining up?

No, had to change the wiring harness because it didn't up with transmission.
I put the original flywheel on the new motor.

two things. the fly wheel should be more to the inside of the motor and not sticking out past the back of the block which means it could be turned around the wrong way .the other is if your new motor is from an 8 speed which if its a 17 then it is and your current trans is a 6 speed then you could have the wrong pilot bearing in the back of the crank

Turned out to be the pilot sleeve in the crank. My truck was 2014 with 6 speed and the replacement engine 2017 with an 8 speed. Thanks Boomstick...

Now have different problem. Got everything back together, but I am assuming the alarm system has it locked down. Wont turn over, can't get the gear shift to move, and the radio is off. Any ideas?
