Engine swap

My engine has a few issues that will run up a couple grand to fix. I'm considering throwing down some more cash to put a reman engine in. After doing some research the 4.7L out of the 08 adds some HP and torque. Would I need to change anything other than the ecu?

Yeah, bit of a different engine...the heads were redesigned (twin plug) as was the intake manifold. Also 08+ 4.7 is fly-by-wire. You could possibly adapt it but it would get progressively more expensive. What's your budget?

I've heard that the long block is interchangeable, but the tone ring(?) has to be changed based on year?
