Here EPA is discussing exhaust filters for GDI gasoline engines to prevent sooty particulates from GDI injection's unburned fuel to get into the air, and we have sooty, smoldering spruce bog lignin fires pumping billions of tons of toxic soot into the air. WTF Coming right down onto us today, I'm having trouble breathing. Not picking on Canada, USA, Indonesia, etc. all have toxic wildfires. We spend tax money on the dumbest-a$$ things.

I'm in Minnesota, btw. Canada attacks us every summer these days. This year it's well-deserved.
Don't worry when Washington/Oregon and California are burning, you guys pass it all back,so don't think your special Brian ;) Maybe you should do something about the west coast while you're beaking about Canada,as your EPA isn't doing $h!t about the west coast.

You would not believe how BAD the AIR Quality is about 25 miles north of the Mexico/San Diego Border.
Not only that, but the River of Water down in that area is so bad, that the citizens in that area, are trying to have the Area declared a National Emergency
air quality

Isn't it incredible EPA keeps employed by micromanaging miniscule particulate output from engine exhaust while the atmosphere is choked with quadrillions of tons of wildfire smoke particles? I'm not pro or anti government. I'm just anti stupidity.

When I got my diesel tractor, I bought a couple years before I was financially ready to beat EPA's Tier 4 emissions regulations which messed with injection timing, fuel consumption, power output, and added an exhaust diaper.

Footage from Saskatchewan this morning looked terrible - people sequestered in their houses, etc. Can't imagine living near the source of wildfires. I read one of them started at a landfill, don't know how the rest start so early in the year (lightning storms in CA in March?). There are three in northern Minnesota started by dumb campers, now mostly out.

Anyway, my point is that USA regulatory bodies have way overreached and outlasted their missions by continuing to harass citizens with absurdist micromanagement for self-preservation while the real world is full of nature pollution.

YEAH! One thing and one thing only that I approve of the Orangutan’s agenda: Make Canada a 51st state…. so I CAN MOVE THERE without changing my citizenship and keep /carry firearms !!! ….and so those wonderful folks votes can also be counted in THIS country.

If Trump would make us the 51st to 62nd states, there might be more support,as i think alot of the sticking points is lumping all of Canada into 1 state, that's a bit of a sticky point

You guys up there just aren't raking the woods enough.:p

Folks can complain about the EPA all they want, but I'm old enough to remember all the smog we had down here in the 60's and 70's and the rivers catching fire from the pollution. We also conveniently forget all the acid rain contamination. It was bad enough to etch car finishes, not to mention make lakes sterile. I'll gladly accept the regulations because industry has never done the right thing on their own.

I do remember looking in the direction of Los Angeles in the late 1960s.

The Brown color of everything above the ground & quite a ways above the ground, was terrible.

Either they did something to clear it out,
or the wind blew it out over the ocean.

By the way, the wind does not blow WEST, so it had to be the EPA plus other things, like Nature

I thought this was going to be about all the diesel exhaust "modifications" guys are doing every day in shops across the country.
dpfs are especially **** in cold weather areas like around here. with all the construction guys that idle their nice new diesel pickups all day long for HVAC and whatever, there is no shortage of demand for "deep cleaning" dpf and scr systems.
the epa can get ****** as far as im concerned! they killed all the good things about a modern diesel and are now doing the same to gas
it can easily cost a few thousand dollars to restore a diesel truck with a blocked dpf. the labour to manually unblock the filters, the cost of the tuning and unlocking the pcm these days et cetra

flo pro (now mels manufacturing) is still producing race pipe kits for pickups but from what ive heard most prefer the stock look for emissions equipment :party36:
