I have a ram 1500 2022 etourqe
I bought it salvaged from the us around 2 years ago ,i live in jordan ,after i recived it i gave it to mechanic who's a pretty horrible person ,replaced my lights for fake ones and stole the key and god knows what else,so after i started driving it for around 2 years the mgu started to make a sound and voltage from the 12v battery started to drop to around 11v ,so i replaced the mgu with a new one from a parts truck because it was making horrible noise
, after i did that it still was still dropping voltage so replaced the IBS that was on the battery ,the votage was good for around 3 week ,then it started dropping again now every time i press the gas too hard or i put the truck load, and it also tells me the auto start stop is unavailable, but as soon as i step on the brake pedal it starts charging back to normal ,what should i do?

how is the battery? they must be fully charged 12.5+ volts. If not, it creates a mess. and...isn't there another battery in there? i THINK it might be 48 volts.

my son just had to replace both of them

The 48v is perfectly fine i checked it but the 12v drops when the truck is under load some time it gets to 12 or 11v

"under load"? what exactly is that? you mean during acceleration?

In an eTorque system, the main 12-volt battery is charged by the vehicle's 48-volt lithium-ion battery via a built-in DC-to-DC

Yes when accelerating "most of the time"
Some times it drops not even when accelerating and gives me the auto start stop unavailable on the dash board
Im suspecting its the dc to dc converter but im not sure if it can be replaced

if it is the converter it's going to cost a few dollars...either a rebuilt one or new one, plus the cost of installing it, then the dealer has to "flash" the computer to recognize the new one.

i'm guessing maybe $3,000 to $4,000 USD

When i replaced the mgu i was quoted 2000 usd from the dealer but i went to a good mechanic with the mgu that i bought he didnt have to flash it maybe it could be installed without a flash?
Also the truck was was torn down in the us because of some drug problem ,could it just be that the first mechanic didnt put a proper ground strap for the dc converter or something?

i still believe the computer has to be re-flashed by the dealer. It should cost maybe 50 to 100 bucks tto have that done

Google and some people tell me its normal for the battery to drop as long as its more than 12.8v it never reached less.
What kind of reading do you get and when should i start to worry if there is somthing wrong?
