I pulled the trigger on a complete 8.4 upgrade from Infotainment for my 2016 ram 1500 Ecodiesel. Yea.. I know.. a bit expensive but.. I like plug and play.
Then I decided to purchase the upgraded EVIC off of eBay. That was half the cost of Infotainment. I have read through the posts about correcting the mileage and the engine and idle hours. Watched a YouTube video. It seems as tho it can be done pretty easily using AlphaOBD app but the problem is, I only have an iPhone. I do have an old windoze laptop but no cable to connect to the OBDII port.
I have OBD fusion for my iPhone and a WiFi adapter that works with my truck. There is an add on pack for the app that gives additional features to the app. I have emailed the company and waiting for a response to see if that feature is available to make the changes I need on the new gauge cluster.
Has anyone found an iPhone compatible app that has the ability to correct the mileage and hours?
If anyone is interested I’ll be selling my Phoenix PX6 12.1 Tesla style head unit for a 2013-2020 ram classic. I’ll post it in the classifieds section once it’s removed from my truck. It will also include a usb dash cam. For Android users it would be a welcomed addition to their truck. I just don’t like Android. I tried!
I will also be selling the complete 8.4 bezel
that has the dual climate controls and the 110v outlet plug. I purchased this on eBay too. Again, once I’ve have everything setup and working I’ll post in the classified section.

To warn you before you go out and buy a bunch of crap, I had same issue. I don't own a windows laptop or an android. So I bought a cheap android tablet (amazon fire), alfaobd and OBDlink MX+. I successfully changed the milage on my new cluster but could not get the engine hours and idle hours to change. I've tried on 2 clusters. I emailed alfa and he sent me a beta version of the app to see if that works and sadly, it does not. Will be emailing alfa again to see if they can help out further, but I'm losing hope.

I purchased the windows version and the OBDlink EX FORScan (usb) and was able to change everything without issues. I sent back the tablet and Bluetooth adapter. They didn’t work for me.
Just to warn you the PC version of AlphaOBD isn’t as simple to use compared to the Android app.
You have to root around the menus and modules to find the stuff you want to change. The app is simplified.

I should also mention that there is no wait time when making changes with the PC version. No 30 second turn off and turn on to run again. It’s just turn off, then turn back on. It makes the correction and your done. I did wait 5 minutes with the key off before proceeding to the next change.
I think that might be the issues people are having with the app version (not everyone) it loses the connection and can’t finish the task with either a Bluetooth or WiFi adapter. I could be wrong tho..

Hello, can settings like adding the off road screens to the UConnect work with OBD Fusion or Alfa? My 23 did not come with them and I’d like to add them in if possible. I’m not sure what all settings can be added or modded through the OBD Fusion app which would be my preferred solution. Welcome your thoughts , thanks.

Interesting. I like the PC version with the OBDLink MX+ much better than the phone app. I never lose the connection on bluetooth unless I unplug the OBD adapter.
