For you guys who are having issues with breaking bolts on your manifolds,these gaskets might be worth looking at.The OEM gaskets don't allow any movement ie:expansion/contraction,while these have a bit of give and take,and only require 20lb-ft of torque.A lot of us with long tubes are starting to use these,instead of the OEM 6.1 gaskets,as these also require no retorquing.

The OEM manifold gaskets have larger holes for the bolts. I don't see how that is causing them to break.

The bolt hole size doesn't really have much to do with the outwards and inwards expansion and contraction that occurs when the manifolds get hot,then cool off when you shut the truck off.The manifolds expand outwards which puts stress on the bolts,and these gaskets allow for more outwards expansion then the muti-layer OEM gaskets do.What's the saying about Insanity,doing the same thing over and over again,and expecting a different result,lol. Replacing the broken OEM parts over and over again and expecting them to last isn't really panning out is it,might as well try something different,would be my thinking,lol

Is the current manifold part number from someplace like Rock Auto gonna be the updated one??
