Do 02-07 Ram 4.7L have heat shields on the exhaust manifold? My 2003 doesn't.

I found OEM shields for the 4.7 dakota and durango, but not the ram. Im wondering if I should bother adding heat shields?

Thanks.

If they fit and clear everything, wouldn't think it would hurt.
I searched and could not find them for the ram 4.7 either

Larger engine compartment, didn't need them (hence why they aren't in the Ram parts book).

My 2008 4.7 6spd has them...dealer lost one while working on the truck years ago and had to replace it. Thought it was odd to have a heat shield on the DS but none on PS

With the head redesign, how close is the manifold to the steering shaft and/or brake system?

Per my research, 02-07 have no heat shield, 2008+ does

not sure...doesn’t seem any closer than other trucks upon quick glance. The only heat shields I have are to protect the lower plug wires from the exhaust manifold. The 2008+ 4.7 has 16 plugs, with coils packs atop the head and plug wires on the sides.

And with 365k miles on mine, haven’t had any trouble with either (steering shaft or brakes).
